 The
intermediate level is the level directly below stage that holds the concession
area and dressing rooms. When
you see Guyer from backstage, you see more than just plain dressing rooms and
make-up rooms. Signatures from numerous generations dating as far back as
the 1910s grace most of the wooden walls of the dressing rooms. A couple
playbills are still plastered to the walls, and an advertisement for a Prof. J.
Warnesson, as
seen at right. A playbill for a Manda Marlow also exists in one of the
dressing rooms. Being
directly beneath the stage
offers many advantages, including the
ingenious idea of a trap door. The trap door is accessible from dressing
room 1, and is a great addition to many shows. Beyond the dressing rooms
is the stairs to the stage, as discussed in the last section. The gas jets
also existed in the dressing rooms but have since been taken down.

The make-up room is the
blush, eyeshadow, and hair spray headquarters.
Signatures
from all generations grace this wall.
The concession
area, or green room, as it was once called, is the area through which traveling
companies would bring in their shows. It is used for concessions and
backstage purposes. A restroom is also available for people who cannot
easily use the stairs.
